• Tigard Eyecare: Flattening the Curve

Let’s wish each other health & wellness as we work together to FLATTEN THE CURVE.

In compliance with CDC guidelines during the COVID19 pandemic, we will temporarily stop seeing patients at 6pm Thursday March 19, until further notice.

Please be assured that we are still available to help you with vision-related needs during this challenging time.
We will be checking email, phone messages, and texts during this time. All messages will be returned as soon as possible.

We are hoping to re-open Tigard Eyecare on Monday, April 6. Monday, May 4th, 2020.

In the meantime, we will follow the recommendations of government and public health officials. If it seems appropriate to adjust our re-opening either earlier or later, we will adjust that date accordingly. At this time, if you need to schedule an annual eye examination, we are currently scheduling after April 6 May 4th at this time.

During this shutdown, if you need to replace glasses and need an extension on your prescription, please contact us and we will assist you.

Also, if you need an extension on your contact lens prescription, please contact us.
We may be able to extend the prescription for you during this time.

We may be able to see you in office if you have an ocular emergency, such as an ocular injury, debris in the eye causing significant pain or sensitivity to light, new flashes or floaters in the vision, painful eye, or loss of vision. Please contact us and we will discuss the issue over the phone prior to any emergency appointments.

If you suspect you have eye infection or a red/pink eye, because of its association with COVID19, we will NOT be able to see you in-office. We urge you instead to contact Casey Eye Institute, at Oregon Health and Sciences University (503) 494-3000 as soon as possible. As a hospital, they will remain open during this crisis for these types of urgent matters.

The CDC has many wonderful resources. Educating yourself and your family with clear information can help minimize undue stress. https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/prepare/prevention.html

Together we will get through this!
