Weird things that can happen with a total eclipse
This is from the blog of Rick Boozer, an astrophysicist, and he mentions some pretty neat stuff!
To be honest, I haven’t really been that interested in all of the eclipse hoopla in the news, but after reading a few of the things that can happen during totality, I’m pretty interested to see it now. Tigard is not far from the zone of totality so we’ll probably make the trek to go see it- if traffic isn’t completely frozen.
From shadow bands to the diamond ring effect and Baily’s beads, there should be plenty of neat stuff to see even though totality will only be for a few moments.
