• Oregon Drops Indoor Mask Mandate March 11, 2022

The State of Oregon’s Mask Mandate is now set to be lifted on Thursday March 11, 2022.

I’m sure we are all ready to be done with this phase of the pandemic and lifting the mandate is the first step to a return to normalcy for all of us. There is one tiny catch for all of us in healthcare. According to the Oregon Health Authority, all medical facilities including: hospitals, doctor offices, dentist offices, urgent care, dialysis centers, etc. etc. are still required to mask up for the time being.

Unfortunately that means masks are still required at Tigard Eyecare for all staff and patients. This means that you will be able to enter the Costco without a mask, but as soon as you enter our office, a mask is required. Sorry for the frustration, but it’s not our rule, it’s the Oregon Health Authority that we are required to follow. Thank you for your patience and understanding. If this goes well for the state overall, healthcare may join the rest of the mask-less by the end of the summer.

Mask mandate in Oregon drops March 12th; except for healthcare. You'll still need one for an eye exam. Thank you for your patience and support.
Sign from the Oregon Health Authority that masks will still be required for healthcare.
