They gave 30 people either milk chocolate or dark chocolate and then measured their visual acuity 2 hours after ingestion and the dark chocolate people had better vision! Eat dark chocolate and see better! I can see the advertising campaign now! We’ll start selling dark chocolate bars in the office as a health supplement right next to the contact lenses! This is AWESOME!!!!
Ok, I may be getting ahead of myself here.
It was a really small study of only 30 people and the results are really pretty small differences (though statistically significant) between the participants. I doubt you could depend on dark chocolate to increase your vision instead of new glasses but it certainly won’t hurt to add a little to your diet.
Once you start looking at all of the other supposed health benefits of dark chocolate, it would almost be malpractice to NOT add dark chocolate to your diet. My personal favorites are 80%+ dark by any reputable chocolatier- skip the Hershy’s.
